American Institute of Architecture Students (AIAS)

AIAS is the student counterpart of the American Institute of Architects (AIA). The School of Architecture's chapter sponsors many social and educational events. It also conducts a mentoring program that matches students with professional architects through the North Carolina AIA. All students are invited and encouraged to become active participants. Officer elections are held in the spring of each year.

Design Council

The Design Council is the College of Design's arm of student government. As such, it is assigned official responsibility for representing student interests at the college and university level, for administering the outstanding teacher recognition program, and for other procedures relating to student government.

African-American Design Student Association (AADSA)

This organization is made up of African-American students within the College of Design and others with an interest in design-related careers. These students meet to discuss issues that are important to them as AfricanAmerican designers. This is also a campus organization that works with other African-American organizations at NC State to improve the quality of education for African-American students.

Tau Sigma Delta

Students in their third year or above who are in the upper 20% of their class are invited to join. The society recognizes and promotes scholarship and provides service to the College of Design and the community at large.
