Cymbre Raub joined the faculty at NC State University in spring 1999. She was specifically sought after to teach history of design for engineers and scientists, a course she first developed at Cal-Poly, Pomona. Most recently she taught at Louisiana State University in the Department of Architecture, teaching design studios and the history of architecture. Her area of research is the development of museums with a special interest in natural history museums and the relationship of architecture, architectural theory and developing scientific theories.
