Detail of Tuesday Morning. This textile piece features layers of fabric that are stitched, painted and tacked on a grid, then stretched so that the top layer is forced open, releasing more than 100 star-shaped flowers of intruiging design. Gignoux's work commemorates the victims of September 11th.
