The College of Design also has master's programs in the professional disciplines and a PhD program in design with seven interdisciplinary research interest areas .

The Prague Institute, an initiative of the NC State College of Design, has international studios in various design disciplines during the fall, spring and summer semesters. Other study abroad opportunities are also offered.


Community outreach occurs through programs like
Design Camp for high school students and Research, Extension and Engagement efforts.

Charlotte Alumni & Friends Reception Scheduled
Join Dean Marvin J. Malecha and fellow alumni and friends for a reception during the 2008 AIA North Carolina Design Conference in Charlotte (all alumni, regardless of discipline, are invited to attend). The reception, hosted by David Furman, AIA, will be held Thursday, August 21, 2008, from 7:30 to 9 p.m. at Centro Cityworks. R.S.V.P. by August 15 to design.ncsu.edu/rsvp.
